Cross Country Skiing for Youth Ages 7-18
The purpose of the Ellensburg ski team is to introduce youth ages 7-18 to cross country skiing and competitive cross country ski racing. We instruct both classic style and skating techniques. Participants are able to compete in youth races in the area. Skiers can work towards racing at the regional and national level. We welcome skiers of all levels from beginners to expert. We are in our 14th year of bringing skiing to youth in Kittitas County.
We want to make skiing available to all youth, regardless of financial situation. We provide scholarships for equipment. The program is run through donations, and a fee is not required to participate. We are a 501c3 organization.
The Ellensburg Ski Team grooms the trails in Rotary Park in cooperation with the City of Ellensburg. These trails are open and free to use for all community members.
Departure times for 2024-2025. Our regular practices run January and February. We will plan to leave Ellensburg High School at these times. Transportation will be available but seats may be limited. Parents bringing participants can meet at the venue using the travel times on the "where we ski" page. All times will be sent out via Remind* message each week.
Tuesdays - 2:40
Wednesdays 2:45 (early release day for Ellensburg School District)
Thursdays 3:30 - all ages welcome!
One Weekend Day 8:30AM at Cabin Creek (Leave Ellensburg 7:30AM)
We will have some early skiing opportunities in November and December, depending on snow, especially for racers preparing for early season races. These are for middle and high school ages.

Ski Coaching and Instruction
We have ski practice on weekday afternoons December - February (Usually Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday) and on weekends.

We maintain the trails at Rotary Park for all community members to use free of charge. We depend on donations to cover our costs.
